The Eagle Rock Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is a 100 percent volunteer Company organized in 1952 that provides Fire-EMS services to the community of Eagle Rock and surrounding areas. Located in northern Botetourt County, the department has the largest area to cover in the locality and assists when needed in 3 bordering Counties (Craig County, Alleghany County, Rockbridge County). A variety of challenges and specialties come with such geography to include coverage of town, hard to reach mountainous residences and recreational areas, hiking trails, the James River, US route 220, and more. The Professional Volunteers working for you in conjunction with other Botetourt County Volunteer Departments as well as the several Botetourt Fire EMS Career Staff units strive to provide above average service in fire, rescue, and emergency medical services.
